The Pointillists vs the Romantics print

£15.00

The Pointillists vs the Romantics.

The Raft of Medusa by Theodore Gericault and Bathers at Asnieres by Georges Seurat are combined in this very funny print. The wording on the print says:

“Though they often spent their weekends at the same riverside spot in Paris, the Pointillists and the Romantics rarely socialised. The Romantics found the Pointillists to be quite unhelpful, while the Pointillists thought the Romantics were a bunch of attention seeking drama queens.”

Sized to fit into an A4 sized frame window. The paper size is 31 x 22 cm, with the image size approximately 28 x 18cm. Digitally printed on thick, 350gsm DCP paper.

Selected from the cartoon series Peter Duggan’s Artoons, as seen in The Guardian.
